Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of yieldsaw.com and the Yieldsaw mobile app (together, the "Service"), operated by Simon Billington, trading as MacDoodler ("we," "us," "our").

By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. The Service

Yieldsaw is a cutting-optimisation and project-management tool for woodworking and similar material-cutting projects. It helps you calculate efficient cutting layouts, track materials, and manage cutting projects.

2. Accounts

You must create an account to use the Service. You are responsible for:

• Providing accurate information when creating your account
• Keeping your login credentials secure
• All activity that occurs under your account

You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service.

3. Subscription plans

Free plan

The free plan gives you full access to the Service's features, subject to a limit of 2 active (non-archived) projects at any time. You can archive a project at any time to free up a slot for a new one — archiving does not delete your data, and archived projects remain accessible and can be reactivated (subject to the active project limit).

Paid plan

The paid plan removes the active project limit, allowing unlimited active projects. Current pricing is shown on our pricing page and may vary by region and currency.

If you cancel or your subscription lapses

If your paid subscription ends and you have more than 2 active projects, your existing data is never deleted or hidden as a result. You will be prompted to choose which 2 projects remain active; all other projects are automatically archived and remain fully accessible for viewing, and can be reactivated once you're back within the active-project limit.

Purchases

Subscriptions can be purchased either through Apple's In-App Purchase system (via the iOS app) or via our website checkout (processed by Stripe, managed via RevenueCat). A single subscription unlocks the Service across both the app and the website, regardless of which method you used to purchase it.

Cancellation and refunds

You can cancel your subscription at any time. If you subscribed via the App Store, cancellation and refunds are handled through Apple, subject to Apple's own policies. If you subscribed via our website, you can cancel through your account settings; see our Refund Policy for details on eligibility for refunds.

4. Your content

You retain ownership of the project data, cut plans, and other content you create using the Service ("Your Content"). By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to store, process, and display Your Content back to you, solely for the purpose of providing the Service.

We do not claim ownership of Your Content and do not use it for any purpose beyond operating the Service for you.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or other users' accounts
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service's operation
• Reverse-engineer or attempt to extract the Service's underlying code, except as permitted by law

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

6. Accuracy of calculations

Yieldsaw's cutting calculations and yield estimates are provided as a planning aid. While we aim for accuracy, you are responsible for verifying measurements and cut plans before cutting materials. We are not liable for material loss, project delays, or other consequences resulting from reliance on the Service's calculations — see Section 8 (Limitation of liability) below.

7. Availability

We aim to keep the Service available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may perform maintenance, updates, or changes to the Service from time to time, and we are not liable for any downtime.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind
• We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to material waste, project costs, or lost time
• Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud.

9. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time via account settings or by contacting us at privacy@yieldsaw.com. We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these Terms.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you via the Service or by email. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
